The track list for the commercial 3" CD single (VUSCD 7)
is as follows:

1. Heat Of The Moment (7" One World Remix) (3:50)
2. Heat Of The Moment (12" One World Remix) (6:17)
3. Sayonara
4. Heat Of The Moment (Album Version) (4:25)

I can confirm that the 7" One World Remix is different

I just discovered a THIRD US promo CD single for "Heat Of The Moment". The eBay seller lists the following tracks:

1. One World Mix 7" (3:50)
2. One World 12" (6:16)

It also has a strange catalog number: PRCD Gemma. Thanks very much, Ed, for the detailed commercial single info. Also, many thanks to Aaron for recently sending me a copy of the "Radio Heat" version, the "Radio Heat Edit", and "U.S. Single Version" from his "Heat of the Moment" promo CD singles for my analysis. I've had a chance to review them all and the results are interesting...

==> The "Radio Heat" version is identical to the 45 version as it appears on the group's Very Best of CD (Virgin 42756), except the channels are reversed on the Very Best of disc, which also has the song fading out a couple of seconds sooner.

==> The "Radio Heat Edit" is an edit of the "Radio Heat"/45 version (there are two edits altogether).

==> The "U.S. Single Version" is identical to the LP version, but runs :03 longer in length due to a slightly longer fadeout.

So it looks like we can finally close the book on this one at long last!

this one i've wondered about for awhile as my post in the db delineates.

these descriptions and run times come from the cassingle itself and NOT the sleeve.
the sleeve states the following

heat of the moment
heat of the moment (inst.)

the credits say on the sleeve say
written by
la reid & babyface
produced by
la & babyface for la'face inc
co-produced by
de'rock & kayo for la'face inc

the credits on the cassingles face say
produced by la & babyface for la'face inc
co-produced by de'rock & kayo for la'face inc
remixed by la reid & babyface

no mention anywhere about a "radio heat" version anywhere
i will check my 3" cd single when i get to my house tonite.

My suspicion is that the "US Single Version" on my promo CD isn't the US single version at all. 1) Pat reported earlier in this thread that the commercial cassette single runs 4:20 (this info hasn't yet been entered into the database). This is :08 shorter than the "US Single Version" Aaron reported on the promo CD single. So are these two versions the same, with the "US Single Version" simply running :08 longer? Or are they different in other ways?

2) Does anyone recall which version was played most often on Top 40 radio? Also, can anyone verify if the "Radio Heat" version on the promo single is identical to the commercial single?
