The yellow label 1973 era Goldies 45 pressings were some of the last to use original mono stampers. That's the point at which the mono side of the DJ 45 fades out. I'm 99.9% sure it is, Todd. The difference is in the intro. The LP/stereo 45 starts with FOUR, 7-note electric guitar segments, before the drums kick in with the first loud, "bum-bum-bum-bum" sequence. But for both the mono promo & stock 45's, the opening electric guitar segments have been sliced down, from four to just two. I haven't checked on the "earlier mono promo/stock 45 fade" info that Grant posted earlier in this thread.
