I gotta pull this back. I recently found my old 45, and,
while I did not check the mono/stereo, I did find that my
commercial copy runs exactly the same length as the album.

The reason I though the 45 was faded a bit sooner is
because my needle drop to tape from 1973 was embedded in
my mind, and I realized that I, for some reason cut off

my commercial 45 states a run time of 4:35 but actually on runs 4:26...if you fade out the 4:35 lp version from 4:07 to 4:26 you'll effectively re-create the true 45 version.....it is NOT a speed issue

"Reeling in the Years" came off of Steely Dan's Can't Buy a Thrill LP from 1973 on the ABC record label. Does anyone have the song's actual vinyl LP run time? For a four and a half minute song to be 9 seconds shorter due to being sped up, that's a really fast speeding up, and even the voice would be noticably higher pitched. My commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (4:35), but an actual time of (4:27). Current database CDs for this run between (4:30) and (4:36).
