Yeah, I much prefer the hit single/video version, too, but by the time the Out of the Blue album was ready, it would have sounded out of place if they didn't jazz it up a little.

I bought the 45 and 12 inch single asap. Since I didn't have a cd player at that time, it wasn't until 1988 that I bought my first three cds. Debbie Gibson was one of those! I noticed right away that the song was full of added instruments! It was like super enhanced! But I noticed it was different than the video version because of the sax ending. hey crap...

Another very easy way to tell the album version from the 45: that "swoosh" sound is centered on the LP version, whereas it pans from left to right on the 45.
