What sounds to me like the 45 version is on the recently released Cast Your Fate To The Wind: The Singles, B-Sides, & Rarities on which it is called 'original 7" version'. (I'm not sure if it's a digital only release.) Thanks John and you're quite right: the Ace CD uses the same old CD version (but folded to mono) instead of the actual 45.

In addition to what Robert mentioned above, on the London 9870 45, the verses that begin "there's a little cafe" (at the 28-second mark) and "in a little cafe" (at 1:11) both have Marianne's vocals double-tracked.

There are no double-tracked vocals at all on the stereo alternate vocal take.

versions....some run longer than the "alternate take
