I managed to purchase a rare (I'd imagine) 45 of "Silly Love Songs" on ebay last year. Besides being an edit, this 45 was also issued on the Columbia label and not on Capitol. Yeah they chopped the beginning sounds and started with the drum hit, and then when the horns go around the first time, they spliced the fourth go round with the horns to the LAST horn section right before the end of the song. So if that's what you did, you've got it!

Well, I just took a stab at editing the 6 minute version. I did about 6 or 7 edits, where I guessed they might be, and the end result turned out to clock in at ... 3:28!

Whether it turned out to be the official dj edit or not, I don't know (it's rather unlikely), but if they did lots of edits like I'm thinking, then ignore my request above.
