OK, I liked this song enough to purchase the 45. There is indeed an edit in the single version, from 3:45.7 to 4:10.3 -- like the video. However, the (abrupt) fade is exactly how edtop40 describes it. I just want to confirm this is simply an early fade of the LP version before I feel compelled to track down the 45 (I don't have it).

This video on YouTube cuts out a segment from 3:45.7 to 4:10.3 of the LP version (on the video, it's at the 3:48 mark). I believe the edit is on the drum machine snare.

Since the video extends out to about 4:15, I'm guessing this isn't the single version regardless. But that edit has me wondering.

And to recreate the 45 edit, where does the (early) fade begin? I'll hang up and listen.
