The first was the "Video Mix: Soundtrack To The Video Of Control" and had an actual run time of 6:00 (printed label time: 6:02). The second consisted of the "Extended Version" with an actual and printed run time of 7:33.

Happily, both versions appear on one domestic CD release. And because there were two separate commercial 12" single releases, I might in this instance respectfully suggest updating the associated database comments, where appropriate, as follows:

("Video Mix" 12" single version)
("Extended Version" 12" single version)

Upon listening, it sure sounds to me like it was sourced from vinyl. It has an overall "scratchy" sound and I'd swear there are a few vinyl pops during the last few seconds of the song (listen at the 3:14 mark). Would anyone who owns this set agree?

Edit: I should have checked my original "Control" (the album) on CD first. The "pops" at the end are present on the LP version as well. Maybe "scratchyness" I thought I heard on the single version could just be different EQ.

Edited by 995wlol
