Excellent question with a simple explanation: the "edit" actually repeats
a segment of the song, thus making it longer. It was a good 8 or 10
years ago when I created the edit, and at the time, I did not hear any
mix differences--just editing. Full disclosure, though, I may have been
working with a low quality 45 dub that wouldn't necessarily reveal very
tiny mix differences. So, I don't think it's actually a different mix, but I
will retrieve my 45 asap and check it again.

I'm a little confused on this one; is the "New Mix" 3:27 or 3:45?

If it's 3:45 and the LP version is 3:27... how can the "New Mix" be an edit of the (shorter) LP version?

My commercial 45 has a listed & actual time of (3:45), but this is not the reason for my post. My promo 45 has this exact same version on one side of it, but calls it the "New Mix"; the commercial 45 has no "New Mix" reference on it, however. The other side of my promo contains the "LP Version".
