But my source is an old Drake Chenault tape so that could have been a custom. Normally they used real radio edits though. ]]>

Has it always sounded this way?  I can only imagine someone years ago did a needle drop on a warped or off-center 45, put it on a CD, and that copy became used on other releases and so on.  Does the song sound this way to anyone else?]]>
