Author: BradOlson
Subject: 3080
Posted: 26 January 2008 at 12:27pm

As we BSNers know, James William Guercio ran this legendary recording studio/ranch in Colorado called the Caribou Ranch, and in fact, Elton's "Caribou" album was named after the ranch. Other artists who recorded there include Chicago, Joe Walsh, John Lennon, Amy Grant, Earth, Wind & Fire, War, the Beach Boys, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many others. BTW, the final album recorded at the Caribou Ranch studios before the fire was Amy's "Unguarded" album. The audio/photo slideshow features a lot of album covers of albums that were recorded at the ranch and even covers taken at the ranch. This slide show is featured at
Rocky Mountain News.

For the Wikipedia entry, go here.
