Well, in concert, Barry always sang an adlib here and my guess is he tried to on the original recording but Clive Davis just wouldn't have it. So he went back and re-recorded it, but even on my old poorly-sounding car radio, that line always stuck out as a misfit. Luckily, I was able to re-EQ the song in that spot and make the vocal fit in with the rest of the song!]]>
