Also, to go back to one of
the original question, I heard the 'Horn Remix' version on WLUP "The Loop". Sure, they were more a
AOR/Classic Rock station at the time, not top 40, but that's where I heard it. Especially my friend, Bob
Stroud would play it and the Otis Redding original on his "Rock 'N' Roll Roots" show at noon. -Bill.

This was
released on a single in 1968 (BB-#51). It was released also by Patti Drew a few
months later (BB-#93) and also has a similar horn arrangement (except hers adds
trombones in the beginning) so I would assume that the 'Horn Remix' version is
more faithfull to the original. -Bill.

I tried to get answers out of the WEA salesmen during the 80's, but they were as clueless as I. In
1989 I wrote to Ken Clee @ Stax-O-Wax who put out "The Directory of American 45 R.P.M. I think crapfromthepast had it correct getting the info from Billboard. So 19245-4 was released after 19668-4. Why they released them in reverse numerical order, I have no clue. Maybe they did this just to confuse us record store people ;) -Bill.
