It is an edit/fade of the Extended Version (a remix). Internationally, Fade is listed instead as 7" Version.

Oddly, the Extended Version was not given a commercial or promotional release in the US.

The video version of "Cherish" is an edit of the Like A Prayer LP Version never released on any format, in any country.

The US promo CD single features Fade and the LP Version.

my commercial 45 and cassingle issued as sire 22883 both state a running time on the label as 4:03 and does indeed run that length....BUT....both the 45 and cassingle states the version there-in is the "fade" version......i don't have the full length cd/lp version to compare if the 45/cassingle version was an actual fade of the full length cd/lp version or an edit.....there is no corresponding notes in the db to indicate that it is a true fade.....does anyone know if the 45/cassingle version is just a fade of the full length cd/lp version?
