I folded "Fire" from The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown
album from Qobuz and added a little more compression. But,

Oddbjørn sent me a dub of the UK 45, and it sounds just like the US 45. Both are mono. Both sound like a fold-down of the common stereo version, but I can't confirm.

The mono version from the 1991 Polydor CD is indeed missing some instrumentation, compared to the stereo mix. (Listen for the absence of horns around 1:05.) Awesome, thank you! The reason I thought it was mono was because it seems like most stereo 45s back in the late '60s specified "stereo" on the label.

I don't know about the UK or other releases, but in the US, Atlantic speeded up the album version for the 45. I assume your promo 45 has both mono and stereo versions speeded up, but does anyone know?

No, it's stereo A & B sides. "Rest Cure" on the B side. As far as being sped up, I don't know. The U.K. mono mix is drier, has less instrumentation (no horns), has some noise over the intro and ends different (with an electronic sound and a gong!).
