the 45 is pitched slower than the cd version i have from
'golden classics' which runs 2:23....if you match the
pitch of the vinyl 45 the 'golden classics' version will
run 2:26; you're still short, but by only 0:02, and not

Given that CD appearances for Ohio Express' "Mercy" all run from 2:21 to 2:23, as Jim stated, this leads me to wonder if the LP length is shorter than the 45. My commercial 45, which is mono and confirmed as Buddah 102, has a listed time of (2:20), but an actual time of (2:28).
