that's right, no CD that I have come across contains the 45 version. My CAD
45 is actually quite alright sounding I am told, at least when compared with

I checked my 2 Canadian Anne Murray CDs that contain "Love Song" (including the Reader's Digest set that has the single mix of "You Won't See Me") but neither has the single mix of "A Love Song". I second the "rough stretch of road" comment. ...or, does the Canadian pressing of the 45 sound cleaner
than the u.s.?   The only copies I've heard of the U.S. 45

Somehow, I missed this thread originally. I always knew something didn't sound quite right with "Love Song" on CD.

I have just acquired a commercial 45 for this song, confirmed as Capitol 3776, and my timing reveals both a listed and actual time of (2:50). This song's initial post appears to state that the 45 run time is (2:46). Perhaps there were two different 45 pressings. My deadwax info is "S45-90801 Z-1", followed by a very light "3776 #5". just chiming in with a bit more info on this one...just dug out my single, and in addition to the overdub harmonica on the 45, it's a different mix and there's a 2nd guitar that comes in on the LP version that does not on the 45.
