Well the mix specifically done for the movie would be
different, for sure (for both the original Top Gun or
Maverick). Generally, when a song is made specifically for
a "blockbuster" film, the mix will tend to be different in

Regarding your question, the version that appears in the
opening of the film is edited, but I mean that I hear the
synths louder (2:54 of the video) and in some parts Kenny
Loggins's voice is heard differently, like if it were
another mix.

Other than the song being edited for the film's pacing and the overall mix being a weird downmix of a modern surround remix

The actual commercial 45 run time of Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" is 3:33. (Timing info courtesy of abagon. The printed record label time is 3:35.)
