I have an old radio station copy of a vinyl set of a Casey's Top 40 broadcast that includes "Talk it Over". What a great record! Anyone here knowledgeable in where the Casey's

Olivia's version spent a few weeks struggling near the
bottom of R&R's AC "Significant Action" listing. For an
artist who scored ten AC #1's including a still record
seven consecutively, I was amazed Olivia could not get
more traction with this song at AC. Although her previous
single, "The Rumour," was not the comeback she hoped for,
she did reach the AC Top 10 just two years earlier with
her David Foster duet, "The Best Of Me." And, more
established pop artists like Olivia could still find
consistent Top 20 success at AC in the late 80's. Was it
Olivia and/or the song radio rejected? If the latter, why
was un unknown like Grayson Hugh able to score a Top 40
pop and AC hit with this less than a year later? Was
radio turned off by the more "naughty" title of Olivia's
version? After "Soul Kiss" and its questionable lyrics
and album artwork, I wonder if radio just dismissed this

though it didn't chart anywhere. There was also a video

BTW, the original version of this song was recorded as an LP track by Olivia Newton-John in the 80s.

"Can't We Talk It Over In Bed" is on Olivia's The Rumour LP (and later on the Gold 2CD "hits" compilation). FYI... Regarding Grayson Hugh's "Talk It Over", the database currently states: "dj copies of this cd single run (4:16) and (3:58) the "edit" not (4:01) as stated on the cd label".

It appears the actual and printed time shown above for the "Edit" are in reverse because Jim reported that the "Edit" on his promo CD single has an actual run time of 4:01, not 3:58 as stated on the label.

The matrix number in the run out groove on the commercial 45 "Talk It Over" which I have is "8802-7-RX-A". So there are 2 different pressings certainly!

my commercial 45 issued as rca 8802 states a run time on the label at 4:17 and does indeed run that length and is identical to the cd version below

(S) (4:16) RCA 2171 Blind To Reason   

the 45's run out groove states "8802-7-RA"
