Doing a quick A/B between the RE-2 CD and the 2004 expanded CD (which LunarLaugh says matches the original vinyl LP), I hear reverb added to:

Go Your Own Way
The Chain
You Make Loving Fun
Gold Dust Woman

It's definitley noticeable on the intros of these songs, but once the full instrumentation comes in, it's harder to hear. I don't doubt that reverb has been added to all tracks, but because it's very light, it's likely buried on most songs. I pulled my original 1977 Terre Haute pressing of Rumours and my 1977 stock 45s of "Go Your Own Way." I have two different 45 pressings (made at different plants) and both have RE-1 in the matrix. Looking on Discogs, there is a Terre Haute pressing of the 45 without RE-1, but even promo 45s have RE-1 in the deadwax, so I'm not too concerned about what that might mean.

In any case, there is no mix difference between the LP and 45 for "Go Your Own Way." They are identical, even down to the fade out. If they had been mixed separately, I would've expected something to stand out or at the very least for the fadeouts to be even just slightly different.

Next, I compared the original 1977 vinyl dubs to an "RE-2" CD rip that Ron sent to me a while back. I can absolutely hear added reverb on the intro of the CD. It's very light and subtle, but it's not there on the vinyl. Once the vocal starts, if there is any added reverb it's so buried it becomes inaudible. I spot checked the rest of the song between the vinyl and CD, and I heard no mix differences at all. It appears all that has been done is very, very light reverb added to the CD version, which is really only detectable on the intro of "Go Your Own Way."

I found a few files of "Go Your Own Way" from various Rumours releases.

First, one that is unlabeled, and another that is labeled as "Original Not ExtendedRemaster". Both have a rather dull-sounding EQ. One is definitely a digital clone of the other, with an EQ adjustment. Not sure which came out first, but I assume that one is the original release and the other is the "RE-1" reissue.

The same analog transfer of one (both?) of these is used on:

• Warner Bros.' promo Lindsey Buckingham collection Words And Music A Retrospective (1992) - has talking at intro and cuts off opening notes of song; avoid
• Time-Life's Rolling Stone Collection 1973-1977 (1993) - has left/right channels swapped and fades a little early

Next, I have a file from my own collection, which I can confirm is the "RE-2" reissue. The EQ is brighter, with significantly more high end than the earlier releases. The fade extends about two beats longer than the earlier releases. I myself couldn't identify any added reverb over the earlier releases, but I'm not very attuned to reverb. The same analog transfer is used on:

• Warner Bros.' Greatest Hits (1988) - differently EQ'd digital clone, with even more high end than RE-2
• Casino soundtrack (1995)
• Time-Life's Legends - Get It On (2003)

There's a different analog transfer on 25 Years The Chain (1992). The EQ on this set is a little odd, so it's not my first choice for sound quality. The fade extends to the same length as the RE-2 reissue.

There's yet another analog transfer on the 2-CD Very Best Of (2002). The EQ has a bit less high end than RE-2, but it's mastered too loud and clips quite a bit.

I think the pre-2004 US Rumours discs that contain the added reverb will have RE somewhere in the disc hub.

I'm not sure if any discs that contain the non-reverb flat master were ever manufactured in the US. Mine is a target disc made in
Germany and there is also another one made in Japan.

While I'm sure Steve is correct, I'll have to pull my 45 and 1977 LP pressing of Rumours to hear if there is any noticeable difference. The added reverb featured on the pre-2004 post-first issue CD of Rumours is most noticeable on the guitar introduction of "Go Your Own Way" and the snare hits on
"Dreams". Just out of curiosity, and I don't intend to go down a whole different rabbit hole here, but has there ever been an "extended" version of "Go Your Own Way" released anywhere? The song is a favorite of mine (and I can never resist the urge to crank the volume WAY up to do "air guitar", "air drums", and furious head-banging during the jam session toward the end LOL), yet I've always thought the song fades out way too abruptly... Even after decades of hearing "Go Your Own Way" many hundreds of times, I'm always left thinking there should be something more at the end!

Rumours seems to have a number of mixes that were, at one time or another, considered to be the final mix. Some of these "alternate"
final mixes didn't see the light of day until the release of the 25 YEARS: THE CHAIN box set. There are also some alternate edits to
several tracks on the album that will vary depending on which pressing of the album you got (examples being the repeated guitar solo
at the end of "Second Hand News", an added instrumental measure in "Never Going Back Again", the fade in and fade out of "Gold Dust
Woman").

The original (first) CD pressing of Rumours contains, for better or worse, a FLAT transfer of the master (or a copy of the master). At
some point soon following this initial pressing, (pre-2000s remaster) the CD was re-done with a much brighter EQ and digital reverb
added. The Rumours tracks on the late '80s Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits release seem to be taken from this CD master.

The 2004 remaster of Rumours is, for my money, the best bang for the buck. Maybe it is a little loud at times but it has the BEST EQ
of any CD version and it has the tracks in unedited form (unlike the original CD) and does not have any added digital reverb.
Comparing the very first CD and the 2004 is a night and day difference. Finally a CD of Rumours that doesn't sound like crap.

I don't think there is any variation on "Go Your Own Way" re: the LP vs. the 45. Bill might have been thinking of songs off of the
white Fleetwood Mac album that preceded Rumours which does have unique 45 mixes.
