Author: Bill Cahill
Subject: 5012
Posted: 21 June 2009 at 3:24pm

Stock copies that I know of are stereo, but I found a DJ copy which is mono/stereo. The mono side is a different mix, the horns are mixed louder than the stereo side, but the most significant difference is that at about 1:46, where on the stereo version the background vocalists are turned off as the guitar starts wailing, they keep going on the mono side for another second or two. So I guess the way to describe this is "Mono DJ version features a different mix". I see that a mono version has made it to a couple of Time Life CDs. Is it the DJ mono mix or the stereo version summed to mono? Does anybody else have info on this track?

Edited by Bill Cahill
