That's disappointing. I checked my copy, which is a back-to-back hits single and it too is 2:55. Epic was not always consistent with using the 45 version on it's reissue singles. They would post samples from the forthcoming release. I've never run across sample that did not match what was on the album, except where they were folded to mono to save space on the website.

The single version notations on this set are nonsense. The samples are up on Amazon, and they're all stereo. The single versions were mono:
