I noticed that Alias' "Waiting For
Love" from the same year had a separate
promo with a "Hot A/C Mix", and they were
on the same label as Wilson Phillips, I
believe. (SBK Records that WP were on fell
under the Capitol umbrella, I think).

The main guitar heard on the
Album Version and Radio Edit appear to be pushed
farther back on the AC Mix, almost to the point of
being barely noticeable. Here's the AC Mix on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_P8YfJGFFM

So it would appear that there's at least three
different mixes of the song: The Album Version, Radio
Edit (which was used on the commercial single) and the
AC Mix. However, I'm not sure where the AC Mix
originated from. None of the configurations of the
single listed on Discogs have an AC Mix even as a B-
Side. And the AC Mix also has that "whoa-oh-oh" from
Carnie that I mentioned earlier.
