It has definitely made a trip through vinyl somewhere and is in rechanneled stereo. That said, it doesn't sound all that bad, although I don't have another CD to which to compare it.

I have never been convinced one way or the other whether the Stardust CDs are "gray market" CDs. This one is made "under licence from GLOBAL ARTS PRODUCTIONS".

If the "Part 2" tape is missing, it might be tough tracking down an exceptionally clean vinyl dub. My Hanover 45 is a near-mint RCA pressing, but the amount of regrind in the vinyl is extraordinarily high by RCA standards. Maybe Hanover couldn't shell out the extra bucks until after the Squirrels had brought in a few more nuts.

OTOH, my only other Hanover/Signature 45 is "The Countryside" by Jim Henson (orchestra conducted by Frank Sinatra!) and this RCA pressing is immaculate. No, sadly. Has anyone run across the Nutty Squirrels "Uh! Oh! Part 2" anywhere on CD where the song sounds like it was mastered from a tape source or, at the very least, clean vinyl?

My 1959 commercial 45 of this novelty hit (confirmed as Hanover 4540, is vinyl, with deadwax of "MAH- 10611-5") has a listed time of (2:19), but an actual time of (2:22). This exactly matches up time-wise with its one, "mastered from vinyl" current database CD.
