I need to revive this old topic. If I read correctly what I see above,
the 45 version is a fold-down of the FON stereo mix. If that's really
the case, wouldn't the entries in the database that read "(fold down of
the stereo "The Feel Of Neil Diamond" vinyl LP)" say instead "45
Version"?

You misread that, Ed. The mono 45 version is not the same as the track on the GH 1966-92 CD. Here's what the site said about the 45:

my commercial 45 is just like jim's....if you fade the 2:18
version from the 1966-1992 greatest hits cd for 0:10 from
2:02 to 2:12 you can effectively re-create the vinyl 45
version......i always get confused on this topic....so
shouldn't the qualifier on the 1966-1992 cd be 'lp length'
