Thanks a bunch for helping clearing this one up, Ed. As you well know, the Def Leppard "Hysteria" 45s had been a baffling mystery on this board for quite some time!

another mystery solved

the song "hysteria" by def leppard issued on the 45 mercury 870004 came in two versions..........one is an edit which runs 3:49 (even though the label says "lp version" and a run time of "5:49") and it has the words "edit - sp" etched in the run out groove.......the other is a 4:47 version which is just an early fade of the cd/lp version from "vault" (i also assume it's the same on the "hysteria" cd as well)......this 45 also states that the version is the "lp version" and a run time of 5:49
