The version of "Do It" on Neil Diamond's Early Classics CD is currently classified as a "remix" in the database, so would it technically be more accurate to describe it as the "45 version but missing a percussion overdub"?

Edited by Todd Ireland

Many of the Neil Diamond singles released by Bang after 1968 were "banged up", with extra instrumentation added and/or alternate takes used. The 1970 mix of "Do It" hasn't appeared on CD, some of the extra instruments are on the CD "Early Classics", and that CD uses the extention trick of repeating part of the song to make it longer, but the bongos are missing so it's not the true single version.

Edited by Bill Cahill
