While I can't speak for the cassette single version, the 7" vinyl (also on Island 854802) uses the lp version (listed time 4:55).

The official 45 version in 1997 would be the cassette single of "When You're gone" so we need someone to step forward with the running time of the cassette single. Whitburn lists the running time as (4:22) and that is probably the information I used to enter the LP version comment.

i have both the commercial and promo cd singles for the cranberries song "when your gone" as listed below

commercial cd single issued as island 854802

1-when you're gone (4:55 listed; 4:54 actual)
2-free to decide (4:24 listed; 4:24 actual)

promo cd single issued as island prcd 7340-2

1-when you're gone (edit)(4:29 listed; 4:30 actual)
2-when you're gone (no description) (4:55 listed; 4:54 actual)
