There's another thread Jim started a while back regarding Sailcat's "Motorcycle Mama"... In case anyone's wondering, Jim reports his commercial 45 copy is in stereo. Found a DJ copy and compared the mono and stereo side. The stereo side sounds as if a good deal of reverb was added to the entire song in comparison to the mono, probably to set a better stereo stage. The mono side has only slight reverb on the vocal but not on the instrumentation. I assume that the stereo single is the same as the LP version. My suggestion is that the database should note: Mono DJ copies contain less reverb than the stereo version" I don't have a copy of the KTEL Biker Rock CD, can anyone check to hear if that CD contains the mono mix DJ or is a sum of the stereo version?
