Does anyone know if that is the LP version from the mid 70s, the re-recorded version from the mid 80s or by some chance the original hit 45 version that has never been on a domestic CD?

Carolina In The Pines--Michael Murphey (1975)
LP-(3:59), 45-(3:06) >

This brings up an interesting point. In the '80s, Murphey changed his name to Michael Martin Murphey and re-recorded this song for Liberty Records and had a big country hit with it. The versions on CD of the '80s hit version are also approx 4 minutes. So - does anyone know if a 3 minute single edit was done for THAT version, or did they just leave it at full length for the '80s single (when singles could be longer)?

Edited by EdisonLite
