Author: Paul C
Subject: 6916
Posted: 09 June 2012 at 8:18am

On the various CDs listed in the database, the run times of the song "Prisoner Of Love" by James Brown & The Famous Flames range from (2:20) to (2:28). I timed my U.S. commercial 45 (King 5739) at (2:24). The label gives the run time as (2:27).

One curious thing about the label is that it gives the composers' credit as "Traditional" and the publishing information as "P.D." I don't believe this is correct at all. The song was co-written by Russ Columbo, who recorded it himself in the early 1930s.
