I agree with Todd; it makes more sense for the comment to read "length" since it's just the LP version fading early. If the only difference between the LP and 45 of "(I've Been) Searching So Long" is that the 45 fades early, then shouldn't the difference be described as one of length and not version? Otherwise, it seems to me the song would have to be required to track into the next selection of whatever CD it appears on in order for it to truly be considered "LP version" (which I don't think would be an accurate classification).

In my opinion, if a 45 can be derived simply by fading out its LP counterpart early and there are no other discernable differences in the recording up to the point where the 45 concludes its fade, as appears to be the case with "(I've Been) Searching So Long", then I'd say this should certainly qualify as 45 length.
