thanks so much for this, abagon. The two versions of this song has been a
mystery to me since 1988 when I got the Lap of Luxury CD and heard the
intro with chorus for the first time. I'd never heard the 45. But a friend also
has the Lap of Luxury CD and his does feature the LP version! So at some
point, I guess they switched it. The actual vinyl LP running time is (3:05). (The listed time is "3:06" - "Lap Of Luxury" Epic OE 40922).
The actual commercial 45 running is (3:07). (The listed time is "3:08" Epic 34-07965)

The 45 has the introduction with chorus. But the vinyl LP starts with drums' beats at the very first without chorus. Strangely, my stock CD "Lap Of Luxury" (Epic EK 40922) is identical to the commercial 45 which has chrus starting intro.
