    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://top40musiconcd.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=24">edtop40</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7227<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21&nbsp;January&nbsp;2013 at 7:41pm<br /><br />this message is directed at Paul Haney of Record <br />Research, but anyone can answer if they know....<br />i own many of whitburns books and one which isn't <br />directly published by record research but nontheless <br />is the bible for top 40 guys like me....'the billboard <br />book of top 40 hits' issued now by billboard books.com <br />states that the period <br />it covers is from 1955 to present....BUT...there are a <br />few 1954 songs intermingled<br />in the data.....Paul, why are some songs that peaked in <br />1954 in the book....the three i found are 'the<br />naughty lady of shady lane' by the ames brothers, 'shake, <br />rattle & roll' by bill haley and 'runaround' by<br />the three chuckles....just wondering...]]>
