Mark, I'm sorry I misunderstood your earlier comments. For some
reason I thought you were referring to your 45, even though you
specifically mentioned your copy of The Diamonds' cd. Boy, for a guy
who prides himself on noticing things, I sure missed the obvious! I
haven't checked, but I'm sure Pat will fix the database, if he hasn't
already.

Well, I guess that does indeed answer all of my questions regarding

my commercial 45 for the diamonds song 'words of love'
issued as mercury 71128 list a run time on the label as
1:53 but actually runs 1:56.....the cd i have of the song
on a portugal import titled 'the diamonds: little darlin';
25 golden hits' issued as remember rmb 75072 contains the

Thank you so much. I'm thinking that my Rhino LP contains the correct
version then. Much appreciated!

I guess this means we'll have to recheck the runtime on The Diamonds'
Best Of cd. I can't imagine that there would be any difference in the 45
vs. the LP, if there even IS a version of this song on an original album.

I just checked my copy of Mercury 5327342 "The Best Of" CD
and it runs 1:57.
I think the confusion may be a simple typo in the database
listed time.

Thought I'd bring this up again because I still haven't found an answer. Hoping somebody here knows? I would feel the need to purchase the Diamonds cd or the 45 if the run time is indeed 2:12. (I'm hopeful someone can save me some money!)

Just wondering if anyone has the actual 45 run time for The Diamonds version of "Words Of Love" from 1957. The listed time appears to be 1:53, but the lone cd in the database states the time as 2:12. My only copy of this song is from the Rhino LP "Best Of The Diamonds" released in the 1980's, and on here the song runs 1:57.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
