The LP version features sound effects on the intro that have been mixed out on the 45.  Therefore, the :11 intro on the 45 is unique and the single version cannot be faithfully recreated without it.  There are no pitch variations, and it runs 3:28.  The 45 intro spliced at :11 where the instrumentation kicks in, and an :11 fade beginning at 3:17 will get you the single version.  Also, you must use the original 1976 mix, not the 1987 remix of which Alan Parsons is inexplicably so fond.]]>
