I have 2 promo 45s of this song, a mono/stereo 3:13 and a mono 3:13/5:25. Both of mine are on the older (60s style) Columbia label.
The matrix # of both mono 3:13 versions is JZSP156309-1x. The suffix letter on the mono/stereo 3:13 is C, on the
3:13/5:25 is B.

The 3:42 copy on the 45cat link's matrix is JZSP 154937, so it could very well be a unique edit.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the alleged 45 pressing with the printed 3:42 label time were to actually just contain the common 3:13 version and length. Given that there doesn't seem to be a listing anywhere on the Discogs website of this alleged "No One to Depend On" promo 45 release with a 3:42 run time listing, this would seem to suggest that this pressing is extremely rare, if it even really exists at all. There appears to be a short version with a listed time of 3:42 on a 1972 Columbia promo 45. The flip side is the longer LP version (listed at 5:25).

One can recreate the ending of the single edit with the lp version by doing what Columbia did--put a reverb blast on the last two notes (excising the seven echo trails).
