Interesting! I've encountered that version numerous times
on CD, plus there's at least one radio network here that
plays it that way. I'd always assumed it was an unofficial

Just a follow up... I know that Discogs isn't the most
reliable source for running times and version info, but I
notice that some 45s and CD singles listed there contain an
'edit' with a listed time of 4:05. They appear to be of UK
origin. So perhaps the version with the shortened intro
was an official version over there? The 45 version here in

Making sure I have the correct versions of #1's I came across Richard Marx "Right Here Waiting". The playing time on the DB is between 4:21 - 4:23 and my version is 4:05 and has a cold ending?!
