I have to say though that whenever I see an Amazon reviewer rave about the sound quality on a modern day CD release, I can't help but wonder if these CDs were simply mastered with the typically LOUD and highly compressed audio levels that lead some listeners into thinking they're hearing "outstanding" sound. And it's at an alarmingly low price. Win-win! The set combines the early-1980s platinum albums "Juice" and "Quiet Lies" (on the first disc) and 1983's moderately successful "Dirty Looks" (the second disk). These tracks are beautifully re-mastered, deftly using 24-bit technology. I have heard every re-mastered edition of Juice Newton's music, and to my ears this set is the BEST so far. The sound quality is OUTSTANDING

Fans of the #1 hit "The Sweetest Thing (I've Ever Known)" will be happy to know the version included here is the super-rare 1981 country version, which was released only on very early pressings of the "Juice" album before being replaced with the slicker pop version that was the radio hit. Prior to this collection, this lovely version of the song (which features a slightly different vocal and a petal steel guitar instead of the oboe heard in the pop version) was available on CD only on an import called "Country Classics," which wasn't re-mastered, so this refreshed version is an extra-special treat."

I ordered a copy of this and it's on the way. If any of you have wanted the original version of The Sweetest Thing, just let me know!

"Angel of the Morning" was my favorite song when it was out (my last semester in high school) and because everyone else was into hard rock, I kept quiet about it. Never thought I'd see a running commentary on how great Juice is/was. :-) There was just something about her voice that really resonated with me. I loved every one of her singles through her career. Richard Landis was a perfect producer for her - he brought out the best in her voice and surrounded her with very sympathetic productions.
