We would take say, March/April of 1969 and
record oldies from those 2 months but only put on a verse and a chorus, and then mix it to the next oldie. The customer
would then say, "Wait, what was that song that was on 2 songs ago!" It was a great way to promote sales. -Bill.

The "Fire" 45 is backed with a live recording of "Incident on 57th Street" that is listed as 10:03! This recording has lots of quiet passages and narrow grooves. Unfortunately, the grooves on my copy are so narrow that it won't track properly, so I don't have an actual time.

It has to be "November Rain." The only other one that comes to mind at the moment is a Steppenwolf B-side called "For Madmen Only," which was the flip side of "Ride With Me" (a Hot 100 hit, but didn't make the top 40). "For Madmen Only" is 8:45 (actual length), and it's a stretch calling it a "song." More like avant garde noise.
