One small edit removes about six seconds from about (2:50) to (2:56). A larger edit
removes from about (2:58) to (6:29) of the resulting file. Then you need to chop off the last 25 seconds of the resulting file (from about (3:35) to (4:00) and start the
fade at about (3:28), so that the end result runs about (3:35).

Edited by sriv94

So
I think YES it can be edited from the 12" version.

The original LP version was about 2 minutes shorter than
the 12" - but it was probably also an edit of the same
Tom Moulton Mix.

I have a very clean mp3 of the 45 version if you need it
for reference. In fact, it sounds like it came from a
CD, but if so it must be an import, and a buddy must have
sent it to me.

The Salsoul / Gold Mind catalog releases for the U.S.
have completely ignored 45 versions, always favoring 12"
mixes and later remixes. I think the only Salsoul 45
versions I've ever heard on CD were from imports.

In fact, I've found for most disco hits - other than pop
top 40 ones - it's difficult or impossible to find 45
versions on CD. It's true that most of them charted on
the Dance/Club charts as 12" singles, but a lot of us
bought 45's at the time. At least Rhino tried...

MM

I've only heard the LP version once, and I also suspect the LP version was changed to be the 12" version at some point.

From memory though, I'm fairly sure the 45 is a different mix than the 12".
MM

(Guessing it's probably an edit of the LP.) Unfortunately, only the 12" seems to be available on iTunes.
