I recall there <br />were comments here as to why bother. I certainly feel that way about "Rainy <br />Day People" but with "All Out of Love" they cut off the 1st half of the intro, and <br />though only making it shorter by a short amount, I figured Arista head Clive <br />Davis did it to get to the 1st verse sooner. (Personally, I prefer the longer <br />version). <br /><br />On Manilow's "The Old Songs", for the promo 45 they do a similarly short edit <br />in the middle, maybe under 5 seconds, and I always thought that was <br />unneeded. ]]>

So this 1978 single <br />was mono in Canada. It is an early fade of the LP (and US <br />commercial 45) length. (It reached #44 on the <em>RPM</em> <br />chart.) ]]>

I did not have "If You Could Read My Mind" without the harmony vocal so happy it's on this release and in stereo.]]>
