Most <br />CDs to date have featured a remix (rhythm section center, main <br />vocal right and harmony left), which was first issued in the 1970s <br />(on what LP I do not know).  Perhaps that's why it has more punch.]]>

The asterisk indicating so was <br />omitted by error on our website.  We will fix that. <br /><br />RE: "I Get Around" - we didn't label that as a "DES" mix <br />because it wasn't entirely created from a mono source. <br />But we DID use some DES technology to separate the <br />missing overdubs from the mono mix and add them to the 3-<br />track session master.<br />This gave us a more realistic sounding result than a <br />traditional sync-up like it had to be done in the past, <br />and doesn't have any of the problems that sync-ups have <br />always had. <br />Sorry for any confusion.<br />MM  ]]>

I’m eager to <br />see what the Hit Parade team has come up with.<br /><br />Carl Wilson recorded his guitar solo directly onto a dub of the mono <br />mix. Not only does a true stereo tape with all the vocal and instrumental <br />parts not exist, it has never existed.<br /><br />A “stereo” mix does exist on bootlegs which synches the stereo backing <br />track with the final mono mix.]]>
