Regarding the 3:15 version,
obviously they shortened "Streets
of Philadelphia" and other tracks
on Springsteen's Greatest
Hits CD in order to fit 18
tracks on a single CD. Too bad they
didn't release a 2-CD Bruce
Springsteen compilation in the
1990's which could have been way
the better than the actual GH album
released in 1995.

This same 3:15 version for some
reason also appears on the 2003
compilation The Essential Bruce

The music video also contains a live vocal (recorded on-
location, in one shot you can just barely see the earpiece
in Bruce's ear which is feeding him the backing track).

Yes, some copies of the soundtrack run 4:13, while others run 3:51. As far as I know, it's just a longer fade on the 4:13 soundtrack version. Is it true that certain CD releases
of the OST to the film
Philadelphia contain
different versions of the song
"Streets of Philadelphia" by Bruce
Springsteen. In Discogs there are
releases where the song runs 3:53
with a printed time of 3:51 on the
CD, but in other releases it has
printed time of 4:13 on the CD but
still runs 3:51. I recall hearing a
4:13 version, but I don't if that
version appears on any CD release
of the Philadelphia OST.

Can anyone help me with this, and
how different are the 3:53 and 4:13
versions in comparison to the
