The version that got released <br />was an edited "Favorites From Crash Bang Boom" that was sold exclusively at <br />McDonalds with the proceeds benefited the Ronald McDonald House. It <br />reportedly sold a million here, but Billboard had a policy that forbade albums <br />that sold at an exclusive retailer to chart. The original album did sell about <br />46,000 copies as an import.]]>

B! was one of my favorites when I lived in Europe - fascinating that it was <br />released as a Cassingle domestically.<br /><br />Regarding Roxette falling off, it was also when the music was changing and by <br />1994 if you were in any way linked to the late 80s (Paula, Bobby Brown, Phil <br />Collins, New Kids, Taylor Dayne, etc) you were considered passe.  Only the real <br />superstars survived.  A little.<br /><br />Makes you realize how quickly trends, styles and sounds changed in the first 5 <br />decades of the rock era.  And how stagnant today's sounds are...]]>

I remember hearing <br />it on the radio quite a bit for a short <br />time. I recall hearing "Crash! Boom! <br />Bang!" on the radio maybe once or twice, <br />but it's difficult having a hit follow up <br />when the first single stalled at No. 50 <br />(interestingly peaked at No. 30 in <br />Cashbox, however). Roxette's U.S. success <br />really started slipping with "Spending My <br />Time", but Per Gessle blames that on EMI <br />USA and it cutting the promotion <br />department.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Bellenger1981</span>]]>

Like most people, I <br />thought it was a live album and didn't pay it any mind.  <br /><br />That being said, I was and am a huge fan of the first single off of <br /><em>Crash! Boom! Bang!</em>, "Sleeping in My Car". Should have been <br />huge. ]]>

It charted in several other countries, though. It looks <br />like it reached its highest position in Finland, where it peaked at #16.<br /><br />According to Discogs, there was a Cassette Single, a Vinyl "For Jukeboxes Only" 45 and 2 Promo CD Singles with the same catalog no. released in the US. <br />I bought the Cassette Single because it had an unplugged version of "Joyride" as its B-Side.]]>

With that being the case, the version I <br />have on their hits compilation, which runs around 4:25, is likely the right <br />one.<br /><br />@jebsib: It did not make the Billbord Hot 100.  I don't know if it may <br />have reached the lower rungs of an A/C chart...  I heard it on our local <br />Top 40 station just once or twice.  They were very slow to let go of that <br />late '80s/early '90s pop sound. ]]>
