Weird!<br /><br />I don't know what caused it, though; I'm no expert when it comes to Dolby issues.<br /><br />FYI, <em>The RCA Victor & T-Neck Album Masters (1959-1983)</em> runs 1.85% faster than <em>Billboard Top R&B Hits 1969</em>, and runs out to the exact same point in the song.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://top40musiconcd.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=53">AndrewChouffi</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 9828<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16&nbsp;October&nbsp;2023 at 7:25am<br /><br />One thing that is confounding about finding a good <br />sounding stereo version of "It's Your Thing" is that some <br />dubs contain undecoded Dolby (or should I say incorrectly <br />decoded Dolby) which seems to artifically enhance <br />clicking of then 16-year-old Ernie Isley's bass intro <br />which was not really present on the 1969 LP and single <br />versions.<br /><br />Most-accurate sounding dub I've heard so far is from 'RCA <br />& T-Neck Album Masters' sent out by forum member <br />'cristianmdp'.  Thank you, Cristian!<br /><br />Does anyone out there also hear what I hear, or can offer <br />any additional comment?<br /><br />Thanks!<br /><br />Andy]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://top40musiconcd.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=89">crapfromthepast</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 9828<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15&nbsp;October&nbsp;2023 at 10:14am<br /><br />If I heard the vinyl rip correctly, the version on vinyl runs to the same point in the song as Rhino's <em>Billboard Top R&B Hits 1969</em> CD, but runs a little faster.  <em>Billboard</em> runs 2:49.<br /><br />Both of those are about 9 beats shorter than the 45.<br /><br />The <em>Billboard</em> CD (and the vinyl dub) both have about 2 beats after the high-pitched "woo".<br /><br />The 45 has about 10 or 11 beats after the "woo".<br /><br />The extra length of the 45 is at the very tail of the fade, down at -30 dB.  It's not all that significant for daily listening, or for using on the air, etc.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by crapfromthepast</span>]]>
