Can anybody explain the differences between the Mono (45 and Album)
Version and the Stereo (Album) Version of the song "Baby Sittin' Boogie" by Buzz Clifford?? According to the db and the previous thread titled "database comments," the two versions were different vocal takes, but I'm not hearing the differences. Can anybody provide a timing point where the differences can be identified? |

The edits on the 45 version sound a bit tighter than on the stereo mix, and while several parts of the song seem to share the same vocal take, there are at least a few parts where there is a different vocal take on the 45 version. About 38 seconds in, Buzz sings "He isn't too young to really feel the beat, I say he rocks back and forth in his little seat", while on the stereo mix he sings "He isn't too young to really feel the beat, he rocks back and forth in his little seat". On the line following this one in the song, the way he sings "feet" is definitely different between the two versions as well, and also the word "Sings" sounding different on the two versions immediately before the baby comes in singing.... there are other differences as well...the vocal takes are probably one take apart since they seem to be so close sounding...
