The DJ is mono/stereo and has a listed time of 3:26 on both sides have a run time of 3:28. BUT.. the stereo side is at a much slower pitch than the mono side. I compared both sides to "The Bee Gee's Greatest" CD on Reprise and the Main Course CD on Polygram, and both of those CDs feature the song (at LP length) at a slightly faster pitch than even the mono DJ side. I'm not sure how the stock copy compares in speed to the DJ or original LP. Just FYI.

The stereo side of the DJ 45 is definitely about 1% slower than the CD/LP pitch. John, does your commercial single run about the same pitch as CD versions?

Seeing the fact that I timed the song in 2008, prior to
acquiring a Technics 1200, it's possible the turntable I had then was a bit faster. So, disregard the 3:26 timing. |
