As far as I can remember, the LP & 45 are the same for this one. Is that correct? (The song isn't listed in the database, but hit #35 in BB.)

Aaron: My stock 45 has a listed and actual time of (3:40), although my Mid-90's Whitburn book lists a stock 45 time for it of (3:44). My "Cars" CD version of the 1978 LP has a listed and actual time of (3:44). The mixes, IMHO, are the same, and the fade is at the same lyrical point. My ears told me that the 45 version was sped up a tad, which probably accounts for the :04 time difference.

Good info, Jim! Thanks! (also enjoy the "insider" info on the DJ edits and custom radio edits)

Glad to be of service, Aaron - we're all in this "45s thing" together! (Does Al Jarreau get a nickel for that mention?)

Jim, you are absolutely correct about this one. The 45, when compared with the LP, is pitched up by about 1.5%. There are no mix differences, and the fade is the same on both.
