My commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (2:52), but an actual time of (3:06).

I'm glad I caught this thread....I have a m/s promo 45 that i had in a box of random 45s I didn't want, which are going to be given to a friend in a couple days for him to donate to goodwill. Anyhow I had to do some digging to find the 45 or I would've replied sooner...
The mono side of the 45 (Bell 45,220) is as Jim says, lists 2:52, plays 3:06. The stereo side also lists 2:52 and runs 3:06 but to my ears it fades out just a fraction of a second (not even one complete word) sooner than the mono version. I didn't compare them side by side, but i figure since the actual mixes of the songs are different (the mono is a dedicated mono mix, not a fold down of the stereo) then maybe the way they faded out is different too.
